This stainless steel thermowell (75mm), facilitate the replacement of RTD temperature probes in pressurized systems without requiring the system to be drained. Installation methods vary, with shorter sleeves typically screwed into T-pieces and longer versions either welded directly into the pipe wall or screwed into dedicated welded sockets. To ensure accurate temperature readings and prevent errors from heat conduction, the sleeve’s immersion depth is critical. In pipe diameters up to DN 50, the sleeve should extend past the pipe’s centerline. For larger pipes, a minimum immersion of 50 mm into the pipe’s cross-section is necessary. It is also essential to consider the minimum immersion depth of the temperature probe itself. The “EL” dimension specifies the probe’s insertion length, while “L” indicates the insertion length of the sleeve.
