The JUMO safetyM STB/STW is a safety temperature limiter and monitor designed in accordance with DIN EN 14597 to provide crucial protection for thermal processes. Its core purpose is to safeguard personnel, the environment, and production equipment by reliably monitoring temperatures and placing the system into a safe state in the event of a malfunction. The device can process inputs from various probes or standard analog signals. When a limit value is exceeded, integrated LEDs provide a clear visual alarm, and a safety relay output activates to secure the process. The unit’s design features a 1oo2D (two-channel with diagnostics) structure, meeting the high safety standards of DIN EN 61508 and DIN EN ISO 13849 for reliable error detection. This robust construction makes it suitable for applications under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Furthermore, its functionality can be extended to safely switch other process variables, such as pressure.
