SIKA level switches provide a straightforward and dependable method for monitoring liquid levels in various applications, including preventing pump dry runs, guarding against tank overflows, and detecting leaks. These units are easily installed on the side of a vessel using standard G1 or G2 threads. The operational principle is based on a reliable float system; as the liquid level increases, the float rises, causing an internal magnet to activate a potential-free reed contact. This action is supported by the repulsion of like-poled magnets, enhancing the buoyancy effect. The default switching function, where the contact closes on a rising level, can be easily reversed by the end-user. The core of the switch is a highly durable reed contact, sealed within an inert gas-filled glass bulb. This design prevents contact erosion and guarantees an exceptional service life, capable of reaching up to 100 million switching cycles.
